Both programs will run Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30-8:00pm at Canmore Park and every second Saturday in various areas. I'll be heading the Track Attack group, while Nicky will be leading the Youth Group this season. A fall calendar including Saturday workout plans will follow shortly. We are also in the process of planning a parent information night. The objective of the AWCS is to further develop the competitive sport of cross-country ski racing in Canada. With the weather forecast changing every day leading up to the trip we didn't really know what to expect. It ended up being very nice for the most part and almost all the rain fell while we were sleeping or cooking under the shelter. The hardest part of the trip proved to be the hike in and out of Assiniboine which was between 25 and 30 kilometres with our big packs on. Everyone worked really hard and stayed tough despite sore feet, tight shoulders and the occasional blister.
