The objective of the AWCS is to further develop the competitive sport of cross-country ski racing in Canada. With the weather forecast changing every day leading up to the trip we didn't really know what to expect. It ended up being very nice for the most part and almost all the rain fell while we were sleeping or cooking under the shelter. The hardest part of the trip proved to be the hike in and out of Assiniboine which was between 25 and 30 kilometres with our big packs on. Everyone worked really hard and stayed tough despite sore feet, tight shoulders and the occasional blister. Qualified Candidates must have previous book keeping experience, be proficient in Simply Accounting, be reliable, attentive to details and have strong organizational skills.
